True old style classy hotel. Not super high end but very friendly, respectful staff. Bed comfy, pillows best I've ever slept with (want to buy them), water refills in the frig daily (no extra charge like some hotels), bathroom small but adequate, comfy robe, magnifying mirror, safe in closet with extra pillow and blanket, ironing board and iron, nice size desk, convenient next to bed charging for phone. Lobby was classy, great Sinatra music playing, lots of comfy seating for chats with friends and family, happy hour Th/Fri w champagne, cheese, crackers, nightly cookies, flavored water 24/7. Will certainly stay here again.
Great price for the hotel. You do have to pay for the parking.

Our Swamp Fox Restaurant offers a daily breakfast buffet from 7:00–11:00 AM, priced at $20 on weekdays and $25 on Saturdays and Sundays, when guests can also enjoy live music. A full à la carte breakfast menu is available as well, along with convenient in-room dining options.
Guests staying overnight have two convenient parking options at the Francis Marion Hotel: Self-Parking: Available in the City of Charleston parking garage adjacent to the hotel. The current rate is $1.00 per 20 minutes, with a maximum daily rate of $24.00. The parking day begins and ends at midnight. Availability and pricing are determined by the City of Charleston and are subject to change. Valet Parking: Valet service is available for $40 + tax per night and includes unlimited in-and-out privileges for registered overnight guests. Charges are billed directly to your guest room.

Wonderful customer service. Would love to have had a microwave in the room. Love the restaurant downstairs. And that there is a Starbucks. So convenient!
